Adobe Photoshop Lightroom review...

Haven't had a good look at this as I'm not into digital photography workflow (I'm a 'point, shoot, hope and pray for a few decent shots' kinda guy *grin*), but seeing that this may interest a number of people... and it's from Ars Technica...

And being arstechnica they tried oh so hard to `please let Aperture be better than LR' ...

From a quick play I think LR will make my workflow much faster. It is certainly more tuned to how photographers want to work. I'm pretty sure it will be great for jpeggers as well - but maybe not betterer enough than the free picasa.

Uh, actually, arstechnica is the site that completely lambasted Aperture in the past for their RAW conversions.

Lightroom looks like it has improved alot. I just downloaded the new trial. But given that the cost is the same as Aperture, and I can't afford either... I'm gonna hold off for the moment.

Hopefully in a few months apple will release a new Aperture (2.0?) and it will be even sweeterer. Then my edu discount will get a workout.
