This massive Lego aircraft carrier took Malle Hawking almost a year to build. It is about 5m long, 1.40m wide and 1.2m tall, contains over 200,000 Bricks and weighs over 160 Kilos. The model has electrical lights on deck, a hangar, aircraft, movable elevators, radar dishes and even a motorized catapult.

Heheheh... let the merchandising begin!

It's sad that wearing a T-Shirt with an Autobots or Decepticon insignia nowadays wouldn't be as cool as about a year ago, due to people thinking that you've just like the movie... *sigh*

The Making of…a LEGO

Businessweek.com article LEGO and the manufacturing process...

Few interesting tidbits like:

- "The bricks are so meticulously made that the company claims that out of every 1 million elements made, just 18 will be declared defective and removed from the set. Impressive numbers, considering that the LEGO Group is producing 15 billion components a year—that's 1.7 million items an hour, or 28,500 a minute."

- "Tire production accounts for some of that number; the factory also produces 306 million tiny rubber tires a year. In fact, going by that number, LEGO is the world's No. 1 tire manufacturer."

And more!
